Agree entirely - I was just trying to get Mike to explain why has started
doing this. He seems to be seeking ways to push away any support systems
that he has, and this worries me. Mike - despite what you may think, there
people who can empathise with what you are going through.

My guess is he's subconsciously trying to punish himself by provoking
people to insult him. Then he has more evidence to back up his paranoia
thus allowing him to avoid examining what's happening and retreat into a
familiar behaviour pattern.

Which I see as a good sign, since it means at least part of his
subconscious is ready to get more closely to grips with the outside
world.

Sorry about this Mike, but it's too easy for people to simply react when
you insult them, and I don't think that's good for you in the long term.
You have enough to put up with as it is. Whereas if we react by
attempting to understand why you are doing it then it can either help by
making it clear to you that you aren't being threatened by Usenet, or it
will help because you aren't getting the reaction you subconsciously want
and so you'll stop insulting people. Either way we all win.

Note: I am not a psychologist, nor is my evil twin.
