YMOV. I can't remember the last UK-based cold call I got. I think around the
last election, the Labour party kept trying to poll our opinions but we
managed to persuade them to bugger off. And as for regulation, well, I know
one person at least who managed to get a cold-calling company fined for
cold-calling.

Just decide that the next one you get, you're going to do stuff
like say to them "What are you wearing?", and you won't get any
more. I've never had a chance to put it into practice (yet)
since I decided to deal with them that way.
