Was anyone else a bit underwhelmed with the final episode of Homeland? Not at all underwhelmed. You knew Brodie wasn't going to blow himself up as there would have been no point in continuing into S2. The best thing about it was how Brodie cleverly wrong-footed everyone in the CIA except Carrie who was confident until the last ep that he was a terrorist. Even now you still get the feeling she has some residue of suspicion, but no one will believe her and thanks to the discovery of her bi-polarism, it doesn't matter anyway as she has been kicked out of the CIA. What I didn't get is why after Brodie ratted on her she didn't break her promise to him and reveal all to the press, or perhaps she thinks no one will believe her or back up her story.
It wasn't a bad ending for the show, but after reading all the hype
about how it was supposedly best final episodes of a TV show, I was
expecting something amazing that would make me go wow. There weren't
really any shocking revelations considering what we had seen in
previous episodes. It was a glossy well made piece of TV, but nothing
more.
