happens, I hit the skip-15-seconds-forward button just before it

the bad section, and it skips it and carries on playing just fine. My
player/recorder is a Pioneer DVD-420H.
Dontcha just love workarounds? And then the pretence that all is well provided that the magic you have to do seems to work? Tap it once on the side then twice on the top will be next, I expect.
