Both done at the same time. Right after the procedure my eyes were
tested and I could have legally driven. By the next day when tested I
could read the bottom line of the test chart. I was originally told I
would need reading glasses after the procedure (as I did when I wore
contacts), however after a week or so my near vision was quite good
and I very rarely need to wear them (only in low light).
