BBC1 - Sat Eve news - May 1988 - Jason Clear Missing

A strange request this, but I thought it would be a good test of the UMTM
hive mind...

Whilst dubbing some old home movies from VHS to DVD for a friend, I came
accross the BBC1 Saturday early evening early news broadcast for 14th May
1988 (I know the date 'cos there was also a report on Wimbledon winning the
FA Cup that day).

The lead story on the news (read by Moira Stewart) was the disappearance of
6 year old Jason Clear from somewhere near Chistester.

My other half said "I wonder if they found him?" so I Googled but found
nothing.

Anybody know what the outcome was?
