Good to see the Great British Public purchasing fuel responsibly :)Well, to be fair if a politician goes on TV and says "there's no need
to panic (buy) ..." what would your first reaction be:
a.) trust them, because they've always told the truth in the past
The way we're all trusting US intelligence, post-Iraqi-WMDs, concerning
the Syrian nuclear installation?
b.) do the exact opposite of what they advocate
That would seem to be the percentage shot.
c.) do nothing
d.) switch to a different channel
e.) do what everyone else does (see option b).
It depends to some extent how critical it is that there's fuel in the
tank. I know I can get by on about two-thirds of a tankful a fortnight,
so I tend to aim at buying one-third a week. Ultimately, though, while
it's a complete pain in the arse to do and takes ages and costs more, I
_could_ get to work by bus. Or on a bike, if I had to. Heck, it'd only
take a couple of hours to walk. Other people's situations may be less
resilient.
