It hasn't done David Jason or Nicholas Lyndhurst any favors, either by
over exposing it. Both are now completely and utterly typecast. I
can't watch Frost, without thinking "What's Del Boy up to this time?"
Odd that you say that. I stopped thinking that after the first episode of Frost.
Others have commented on what a good actor he is because most don't see him as
Del Boy .

Couldn't agree more also when watching Del Boy you never found
yourself thinking Granville.
In my book, it's the mark of great acting that essentially the same
voice and face can be used to project completely different characters
without any confusion.
As for OFAH being done to death well I think it just got better and
better the longer it went on as the characters and writing developed
also helped by the longer episodes.
Possibly, the final three Christmas specials (post millionaire) fell
below standard but not by much.
Rumour has it that the writers wanted to send Del Boy onto Who Wants
To Be A Millionaire but ITV wouldn't play ball so it was Gold Rush
with JR instead - shame.
I would agree though that UKTV over do Del Boy (and Vicar of Dibley)
though and I find myself wondering why they can't feature more of the
other great UK sitcoms from the past.
