have not been ripped off and have been satisfied with the product, after
all personal recommendation is worth more than any advertising, this
isn't windows, I've had them done.

Ask for a quote of the price in writing. I spent two hours one evening
with a bloke from CR Smiths who would do anything but write his offer
price down. He was prepared to walk away from a straightforward job
rather than give a quote in writing, and that was suspicion enough for
me.
