copies of a book, when he was never attempting to do that in the first
place, seems to stem from certain people's personal dislike of him.

Selective reading Daniel? , what barker does is from barkers own
posting , instead of being so ready to dismiss what is said as mere
people being horrid to the nice Chris Barker why don't you do some
research on the matter.

I was simply asking Alan to respond to specific points. His '***
off, bum boy' response seems to indicate that he had no real response,
but I'd be happy to hear any response you can give to them.

1. He lies around all day.

Apart from the fact that he posts here, none of know what he does with
his time. Maybe he does lie around all day. Maybe he works
tirelessly for various charities and good causes, makes soup for local
down-and-outs and cares for stray cats. Most likely he does neither
of those extremes. Like the rest of us, he probably just gets on with
his day to day life and posts here for a bit of recreational fun.

2. He lives of his childrens benefits.

He's entitled to certain benefits for his children just like anyone
else. This is the one that really makes me laugh, all this 'poncing
of his children' talk. If he were a woman, and stayed at home while
his husband went out to work you would never suggest that he was
poncing or living off his kids? Of course you wouldn't. So why is it
different because he's a man? It isn't, is it? It's only different
because it's Ming.

3. He claims to be a businessman.

Does he? I know he says he has business management qualifications,
but that's not the same thing at all.

Start with his posting history , it goes back
several years , whining about Pelan and bloody ghost books, comes up
to date with him hounding a poster off here and contacting their
MP,Contacting ITV about someones fansite , then with Barker sending
letters to several peoples employers - Alan Hope being the main one .
Alan posted it here.

That last point certainly explains why Alan seems to be so upset with
anyone who doesn't immediately side with him against Ming. Anyway, as
I've said before, I'm not saying I agree with everything Ming has ever
done. I'm just not willing to pile in with everyone else on
everything he ever posts about, and dismissing everything he says out
of nothing more than blind hatred.

He boasted about getting his new car , how big his house was and how
he can do his edting lark just for the fun .

Most of those posts are responses to jibes about him being poor, about
him being a 'ponce' and so on. You make it sound like he starts
threads merely to tell everyone about his house, car, book collection
or whatever. That simply isn't true, and I'm not going to pretend it
is just to please you or all the other Ming haters out there. He
mentions his house when people make snide comments about him living in
a shack by a railway line. He mentions his car and his book
collection when people suggest that he's a pauper. His editing for
fun comments were in response to yet more accusations that he's a poor
editor, has no writing ability and other various slurs aimed at his
abilities in his chosen profession. Is he not allowed to respond to
all this taunting? Is it OK for people (yourself included) to have a
go, but somehow he's not allowed to answer back?

His wife works and his
kids are at school all day - by his own admission so this bull***
about he is caring for the kids when they are at school all day is a
farce.

Someone has to get the kids ready for school in the morning, take them
to school and collect them from school. There's also the fact that
two of his children are quite young and disabled, so perhaps they
don't attend a full school day at the moment.

His idea of business is some qualification he reckons to have
and - I quote barker -"I have a relative who advised business".

This is from memory of what he has posted here - you can look it up if
you are so concerned we a re lying. He has posted that we are all
losers in crap jobs whilst he is an editor , publisher and now and
author and script writer.

Again, most of these claims are usually responses to taunts from
various members of this group.

His claim to fame is this 300 books of
reggies and a few newsletters to the handful of folk who are
interested in this crap. He used to boast about how he had books worth
£3000 - yes £3000 - until many pointed out that it was small change.

I doubt many people can claim to own a book worth £3K.

So in a nutshell , barker sits at home claiming benefits to which his
<children> are entitled so he can play at being the above whilst
stalking the net - remember he isn't the least bit bothered about
Ukmedia TV he has roundly condemned it as pointless and everyone here
losers, yet spends much of his time just posting and causing trouble.

Well you are one of the people who taunts him the most, so what do you
expect? If you don't like him having a go back, why not stop jumping
on every single post he makes with abusive comments about him and his
family.

Look to the thread here - he started it , fair enough , but then had a
go at Dom then Col - remember Col has been very neutral .

All he said to Col was that he thought Col's comment was in poor
taste. That's not 'having a go', it's expressing an opinion.
