What I find odd is that if I claimed to own some shares in say BT or
Virgin Media and someone disputed this claim then I would hardly expect
BT or VM's lawyers to write personally to the person and then turf me
off their service.

It is also bizarre that Barker keeps repeating this accusation, true or

Pelan was being very abusive; I threatened to report him to his ISP;
he then claimed that the ISP would laugh off any complaints and
instead offer to sell him another "block of stock" in their company.
Ergo, he was lying about owning stock in order to deter me (or anyone
else) for reporting him to his ISP.

It doesn't matter what Mickey Mouse rules you keep trying to make up
for UMTM, the fact remains that if someone posts abusively on usenet
they can be chastised by their ISP. To then lie about owning shares in
the ISP by way of intimidating people who are considering complaining
is also wrong.

If the boot was on the other foot you wouldn't hesitate to bang on
endlessly about it, which makes you something akin to a stinking
hypocrite.

.... and neither I, or to the best of my knowledge anyone else has threatened to report you. How can I be a hypocrite? It is more hypocritical that I am not chastising you for writing to JP's ISP after I have called you for taking things off usenet, but the fact is I really don't care.


It's worth noting that for these routine and quite frankly boring
allegations of lying that are tossed about so gleefully on usenet, the
Pelan / Isomedia case is one of the very few that can be proven beyond
all reasonable doubt. Little wonder that you wish to dismiss it.

I don't care about that. How about the allegation that you have written to peoples employers and telephoned those who you thought were their employers? All provable and all nasty, malicious behaviour.

The bottom line here is that you lot like to shout the odds and make
