Well, it sounds like the ad.s are doing their job. Not only have you
seen them, but you've remebered them too (and given them even more
publicity).

Indeed. From the campaign agency:

TV was part of a multimedia campaign that successfully exceeded all
its initial targets. The brand launched in October 2005 and beat
initial targets by 64% and is currently 58% ahead of target in 2006.
The brand continues to be marketed as a female lifestyle brand.

What's the big deal about the ABC1 channel? You mention it and the
website you cite seems overly concerned that viewers may delete it
from their favourites - why would you care what other people do?
AFAICS, it's just another station running repeats of old american
comedy shows.

It's not even particularly targeted by Sheila's Wheels. Living TV is
the Sheila's Wheels channel where they sponsor up to 15 hours of
programmes a week.

Of course, if this is just a way of advertising your website, then I'd
reckon you have a long way to go to win a prize for promoting it. Maybe
you should take some lessons from Sheila's Wheels on how to advertise.

Six 'signatures' in 6 days! That'll learn 'em!

I just don't know how they get away with it. It is an absurd generalisation to make a blanket statement like "women are better drivers than men."

If I - as a man - decided to have the snip tomorrow and legally become a woman, would that suddenly make me a better driver? Of course it wouldn't.

It's an individual thing, not a gender thing.
