Claiming 'victories' over usenet arguments is really quite lame.

I agree, but it would make for an interesting (i.e. unintentionally
amusing) CV.

The only people who impress on usenet are the well-informed and the
witty. On the rare occasion when someone does demonstrably "win" an
argument, the atmosphere has usually turned so sour and nasty that any
victory or sense of achievement has beeb undermined.
