Ex-Scientologists have insisted to me that Xenu is part of Scientology.
If so, it is a religion that requires its followers not to tell others
about its core belief, which is verry odd.

I mean, yeah, we would never have a religion written in an ancient language
that could only understood by the priest now? No, never that wouldnt happen
would it?

Anyone is free to translate the Bible and publish it. Contrast with
Scientology who prosecute those who copy their sacred texts. The core
beliefs of Christianity are not secret, those of the Church of
Scientology are.

No, actually The Holy Bible is one notable exception
to International Copyright Law in that it is still copyright
and always will be and there is a theological council
which maintains this status quo. Don't ask me for more
information--I can't give it off the top of my head and am
not interested to go look it up.

Whether this applies to the Q'Ran or Maharabatha or
any other holy books is something I would be interested
in. As the Q'Ran is based on the Torah it would seem
much of it would already be covered by this by implication.
I've not, however, read anything authoritative on whether
it extends to the writings of Mahomet.
