Are these things any good? It seems like the ideal thing to give to
the inlaws so i can just send them a new memory card every few weeks

I was looking at them the other day as I was thinking about getting
one
for my father for his birthday so my parents can display up to date
photos of my son, or their latest travel photos, a lot easier than
having to
print them out and fill them into a normal frame. So I'd like some
thoughts too.

The quality of picture is a big consideration. At Christmas we ended
up with two different makes (not planned). The Philips at £150 (at
that time, not sure of current price) was a far superior picture (read
specification on their web site) a cheaper one with about same pixel
size as the Kodak is noticeably grainy. It is more obvious to me as
both frames are showing pictures in a location near to each other. I
suppose just having the poorer quality one would become more
acceptable if it was on its own and you got used to it.

The Philips also has a rechargeable battery which will run for about
90minutes. It is also possible to set it to turn itself on and off
automatically, to suit your own needs.

With memory cards so cheap I believe that the limited built in memory,
some as low as 32mb, is not an issue.

I would recommend viewing the products next to each other in the shop.
I looked at Dixons displays at the time. There were about 4 options
when I bought.
