I've said that before. I've worked with a lot of people like her and
whereas
they are very clever in a specific area outside that area they are
mostly
totally clueless and have very little knowledge of how the "real
world"
works. That's why I knew she wouldn't last too long.
As for the rest well none of them really did anything particularly
outstanding
although my pre-series pick Katie still looks to be one of the best
ones
amongst a pretty bad bunch.

You may be right about Katie - that said none really stand out that
much.

Being very intelligent in a certain area burt lacking basic
commonsense I put right back to their childhood. It's perfectly easy
to teach a child about the little things in life that will help them
and yet still help them in the top GSCE groups , the after school
science clubs etc. Too many people let the kids become nerds without
realising.
