I've noticed that the cast lists for sitcoms now show only the cameos
and don't show the main performers. For instance if you look up Diane
Keen, it correctly lists that she was in The Cuckoo Waltz and Rings
On Their Fingers, but the pages for those shows don't list her at all
(except she is mentioned in passing in one of the user comments). Are
they trying to force us all to pay for IMDB Pro?
Not at all. But I think they've assumed a level of intelligence in the user
base during the reorganisation that, clearly, doesn't exist. If you go to
the "Cuckoo Waltz" page and click on the "more" link after "Seasons" you get
further links to certain episodes (Clearly, the "Cuckoo Waltz" entry need
more work. Perhaps you could help if you're a fan. You *do* know that the Db
is made up of entries from users, right?)
Click on the first entry (Season Two, Episode One) and you see:
Series Cast
These people are regular cast members. Were they in this episode?
Diane Keen .... Fliss Hawthorne
David Roper .... Chris Hawthorne
Lewis Collins .... Gavin Rumsey
John McKelvey .... Austen Tweedle
Rachel Davies .... Carol Rumsey
Clare Kelly .... Connie Wagstaffe
"Rings on Their Fingers" obviously also needs contributions. Have you worked
out yet that they didn't put up a complete entry and then start taking stuff
away to generate money? Users build entries from the ground up. Pitch in.
