Really? Last time you conversed on this topic you were vehemently opposing the
use of A-Z lists. See - you're so lame you don't even know what argument
you're having. Check these google group links:

Clearly it has at least one other user - you(!)
You're a frequent user of the (!) punctuation, so I'd have thought
you'd know it meant sarcasm, i.e. I once tried my PVR's A-Z list
functionality out of interest, found it most impractical, and haven't
used it since!
It's so impractical it might as well not be on there. Last time I looked (a long time ago, admittedly, so it may have changed by now) I was looking for a programme name beginning with S, I had to scroll through about 15 pages which had from top to bottom on every line "Shopping".
At the very least they need to allow you to add a couple more letters onto the search after the first one.
