OT - Website security question

If I have a website with a number of folders containing some files,
but don't publish the url to each folder, is it possible for someone
to list the folders and files on my site without my permission?
In other words, if I give them the url to say:-
www.mysite.com/data/fredfolder/index.html
are they able to somehow find out that:-
www.mysite.com/data/paulfolder/index.html
...exists?
If I type www.mysite.com/data/ or
www.mysite.com/data
it doesn't list the folders, but is there another way for someone to
find out the existence of paulfolder?
.
