Multiplication merely involves addition in _any_ number system, not
just binary! For example, suppose you wanted to answer the question
"What do you get if you multiply six by nine?"

9 + 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 54

I do hope you're not going to say it stands for nine times one.

Or maybe you'd like to do another diagram for that as well.

er so that would be 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 .....

But is it really "best expressed in" this form? Personally, I find
decimal notation much easier to read.

What I actually wrote was -

Binary again is ideally suited to multiplication's in electrical
circuits as it merely involves addition.

Or in your own words - modified to suit -

FFS! Are you really such a lying, ***-brained twat that you can't
even get this meaning of the above sentence right? Or do you just
have trouble reading simple English?

Not "what's easier to read" !

You still don't really have a clue, do you?

It's quite possible to perform calculations using arrangements
of gear wheels using any number base you chose. You could have
a number base the equivalent of decimal 786, or decimal 14, or
whatever. All you need do is machine gears with the correct
number of cogs. Multiplications would then be performed by turning
the first cog which then acted on the second cog etc etc. There's
no adding going on there at all. What's more, the position at which
you stopped the first wheel could be indeterminate between any
two teeth. That's an analogue system.

Digital electrical circuits based on switches use binary logic to
count. And multiplications are easily performed by addition in binary
arithmetic. In analogue, multiplication is performed entirely
differently. That's why you get LED's and phosphors and stuff in digital,
worked by electricity. Those particular circuits were just switched
on. And scales with pointers and stuff in analogue. Because the
pointer will be connected to a gear wheel, or some similar
mechnical device.

....

You really are giving among the best impersonations of a totally
clueless person I've come across in a long time.

You, on the other hand, aren't doing an impersonation of a totally
cluless person at all. That's beacuse you don't need to impersonate
one.

Oh dear an IKYAMWAI as well!

Originality certainly isn't your middle name that's for sure.
