ISTR a BMJ article from the late 70s claiming that left-handers had a lower life expectancy. It is still considered common knowledge, despite the fact that the whole study was rubbished shortly afterwards.

The breast cancer/left-handed story was all over the news about four months ago btw. -- WS .
