Dom,
God knows what's causing the DVD problem, it could be any number of
things and no doubt will be a t**t to resolve.
For what's it's worth though I can almost certainly confirm that you
inability to get into the BIOS setup is a result of your USB keyboard.
It probably doesn't even matter that it is wireless as my wired Saitek
USB keyboard resolutely refuses to get me into the BIOS Setup either,
despite my BIOS being set to recognise USB keyboards and no keyboard
errors being registered during POST. I have to have a cheapo PS2 wired
keyboard handy if I want to change any BIOS settings.
