Just heard the story where five teens died whilst in a stolen car, being chased by police. Newsreader says to correspondent, "...members of the town must be 'distressed'." I'm not evil, and I know the national news needs to be impartial, but I'm not particularly distressed by this news. I'm more distessed by the news the Police are to be investigated.
More doublespeak:
"The IPCC has also refused to confirm whether the car was stolen, but the car's owner, Matthew Baker, from St Leonards, East Sussex, told BBC South East Today it was taken from his house."
So it was all his fault! How dare he leave his car in a place where it could so easily be taken without his consent.
