Faster bandwidth all round. Takes less time to access folders for my website,
for example, even if the actual uploading of a file is still the same.

I upload with an old program, WS_FTP95 PRO, an oldie but a goodie. When
uploading on a normal modem it would sometimes trip up and stop for some
reason, but on broadband it goes like a dream.

Loading webpages are faster. Everything's faster.

Yes, it helps with large multimedia files but that's the way things are
moving. It used to be a chore to download MP3 files on a regular modem, but on
2Mbps broadband I can download a TV show in less time than it takes to watch
it (as long as there's enough seeders)

Eventually, TV will come down the internet at a decent rate to allow pictures
at the right quality (better than we get from the low bitrates on conventional
digital TV) and things can only improve from there.

Oh, and you can download porn faster :)
