Ask EU again: Newsgroup archives
Er...a little more help would be appreciated. A while ago I asked about
transferring old umra messages from OE to Thunderbird. Windows & will
only open them in Windows Live Mail no matter how I set the defaults.
I have discovered that OE saved newsgroup messages with the suffix .nws
whereas Thunderbird saves them as .eml. I have tried to associate TB as
the default program for .nws files but the "Browse" function doesn't
bring it up as a possibility.
Do I have to convert them from .nws to .eml in order to open them in
Thunderbird, and if so how can I do it (if at all?)
