Ally, I've just spent an hour catching up on the last 5 episodes andOoh thanks! I do appreciate comments, particularly nice ones like
wanted to post some feedback because I know how encouraging it is
when you get a positive response.
It's great. I'm totally intrigued so you have to keep going!
this. :-)
There may be a slight interregnum over the weekend as I'm going to be
rather busy, but fear not, the kids will be back!
I'm still enjoying it as well. I only have 9 RSS feeds and you're one
of them - consider yourself in very exalted company.

one is rubbing virtual shoulders.)
How old are these kids supposed to be though ? I would certainly have built a sledge when I was 11 or so, but not sure I would have talked about "seasoned hardwood". Or "estivation". In other words the language seems a bit adult occasionally for kids of the age I imagined them to be.
I would also avoid references to very modern ephemera like Skype or Gorrillapod (iirc the name of the camera grip) as they will date the writing very quickly.
These are very minor nit-picks though.
I do tend to forget myself at times! And I need reminding. :-) If I ever get this thing finished and try to get it published, there will be quite a lot of editing and rewriting to be done. I'm actually aware of things like Skype etc having to be changed. I think I'm trying to make it absolutely in the 'now' as I write, but realise that if it ever ends up on paper, such things will have to be a bit more general. Besides, I can't go advertising things in a printed book.
My big worry is that I'll forget who said what to whom, when and where, as the story progresses, and start making mistakes. Although I know more or less what's going to happen, I haven't got many notes, so it's all a bit 'flying by the seat of one's pants'.
The choice of the present tense however... ;)
:-)
