I'm told that canine poo is particularly narsty though.

who told you? wasn't a dog, for sure, and they know _all_ about it.

Quite. My younger dog, who was a rescue animal, used to consider the stuff
quite a savoury treat when he first came to live with us. Didn't seem to do
him any harm, but by Dog did his breath smell!
