I have a limited number of invitations if anyrat would like one

Gosh. I knew nothing about this, but Google has informed me about it
now,
and I think I'd like an invitation please! What an interesting thing.
I've an account but no invitations yet, but if there's an Umra-like wave
going to be set up let me know - I can't find anyone to talk to yet, so
aren't using it much.

Do all the users have to be members then? It won't be very useful if most
of one's friends can't be bothered joining, or simply can't get
invitations.

Yes, you need to be a member to take part. It's Google's usual way of
rolling out beta software. It helps them control the numbers but also
allows people who know each other to get on the system.

I am signed up, though I don't have any invites to hand out. We've briefly
looked at it at work to see whether it offered any advantages over the
various technologies we do use for distributed collaborative working. The
jury's out at the moment.

Oh well, if a few umrats get into it, we can play together, then!

What's Google Wave?
