Ah, you are the first person to make a statement on that point.
Unfortunately I don't suppose a Wikipedia article should be guided by
practices from a century ago unless they would still be the "correct"
or "canonical" practice today. (Should I have typed "to-day" there?
:->) What would a modern but pedantic typographer do?
