Since the BBC can't seem to act consistently on offensive behaviour, I thought I'd have a little fun with them and have just sent this cmplaint about today's 6 Nations coverage:
As the BBC now seems to think that politically correct use of language is highly important, I would like to complain about the commentators at today's Wales-Scotland match. It was not the many inaccuracies (following on from Eddie Butler's egregious errors in yesterday evening's game in the best traditions of Bill McLaren), but in the repeated use of the term "money shot".
Both of them used the term but it is not the first time that Jonathan Davies has said it live on air. The term is from the porn. movie industry and I would suggest he looks up the meaning before he uses it again and comes to a sticky end.

I thought calling somebody "Scottish" was now offensive.

Apparently not. The apology was for the reference to one eye and an idiot but apparently as he is actually a Scot then it is still permitted to refer to him as such providing that there are no racial overtones.
