But I don't think you need do it 78 times! IME, you don't need to do anything at all with or to the 78 images, that "attachments" file-naming bit only concerned the actual e-mail itself. I suspect that if the e-mail had come to me as plain text with x images attached I would not have had any of that but just done one "save as" operation, but I haven't got a plain text message with attachments to try it out on at the moment.
