I get your point. So I wonder why no-one seems to have developed tubs
that empty from the bottom, with a sort of tap device, or one of those
thingies that people pull out compost from the bottom of the heap
(sorry about the comparison). Made of perspex, sitting on a sort of
shelf. Or would that take up too much space? But the shop could keep
the main container underneath, for refilling them from.
Someone has, in the cheap aisle in Auchon supermarket in France. HTH,
but suspect it doesn't, much :)
I buy there regularly. This last visit my worst nightmare almost
happened. I didn't actually drop the entire sausage-shaped bag of puy
lentils before I could tie its neck off, but it split part-way round,
near the top and there were quite a lot of lentils over the floor of the
aisle by the time Mike and I had managed to get another bag over the leak!
Ho-kayyy, so you need to have little containers into which you put
your bags (plastic, paper???) to stop that happening - possibly
containers that you can buy or bring back to get a deposit back etc,
if you're also afraid of all your stuff bursting and mixing on the way
home (instant mash and washing powder, not nice). It's all falling
into place :o)
