Sort of inevitable, wasn't it - after starting that particular
hare the SWs couldn't just let it drop, so Matt had to become
suddenly interested in his family.

If Matt knows his date of birth and his biological mother's
surname, he doesn't need to go to Social Services just to get a
copy of his original birth certificate. He could buy a copy
without going near them.
