Actually I have a cashmere cardi and I wouldn't normally have
something that nice as they tend to be very expensive, but just before
Xmas Asda had cashmere cardis and sweaters for around £30, which was
very cheap. I haen't actually needed to wash the cardi yet but have
washed the sweater I got as a gift and it washed very nicely - by
hand.
IME (and I accept no liability for the consequences) cashmere is much
better washed than dry cleaned. It comes up softer and smells nicer,
too. But I turn it inside out, put it in a bag, and bung it into the
machine on the wool setting.
