ER... Al. I don't think he has yet explained to us why the site is
called what it is, but bear in mind that he has only said he "prefers"
it, not that he thinks it's "right"; possibly he prefers it because
it's the name if his domain? It doesn't seem to show anything yet,
that url.
When did spelling became a matter of preference? All languages need
rules - without them communication heads down a slippery slope to
obfuscation.
I think you're missing my point. If he has a website called supercede,
then as often as someone types "supercede" into Google, it will come
up and someone will look at his website. Nothing about his preferred
way to spell the word when writing English. If I wanted someone to
look at my website I might call it "definately" or something. Or maybe
something someone would type in just to see how many hits there were
on a particular disputed spelling. And if it got me a lot of passing
trade, boy would I love that spelling, even though I'd admit it was
incorrect.
