Have I got this right? As somerat suggested a couple of weeks back,
Eddy is stuffing weights into the pockets of his fleece so as to record
successive losses of 2 lb a week. OK so if he has planned this to run
for the whole of the Lent duration of Clarries club he initially weighed
in 10lb (possibly 12 lb) overweight.
one week, 1 lb the next etc. etc. thus allowing listeners to anticipate
the next element in the series with lots of fun for the whole family.
It could have been an O level question back in my day.
"If, during the week 5 weigh-in, Eddie Grundy was found to have lost a
total of x lbs, where x is an integer, how much did he actually weigh at
the start of the fat club?"
