maybe, but it is still very good advice. Using an old, unpatched
version of IE on live websites is not a good idea.

One miss-typed or redirected URL and you can end up on a site that
infects IE.

Here, here. With the availability of good quality, standards-
compliants browsers, such as Firefox and Opera, there really is no
excuse for using the basketcase that is IE any more.
