Isn't it wonderful when you read umra and find that other people work
the same way as you?
There has been much reportage this morning of some apparently
previously-unknown giant self-destructing palm trees in Madagascar.
(Yes, I know - I wouldn't have believed it if somebody else had typed
that!)
I first heard about this on the WS during a waking moment in the middle
of the night. I wasn't concentrating but I thought the newsreader said
that they could only be seen from space. It was one of those things that
I hear or half hear on the radio in the middle of the night and then lie
there wondering how this can be so.

Is the reporter particularly innocent, or am I too cynical?
