Isn't it wonderful when you read umra and find that other people work
the same way as you?

There has been much reportage this morning of some apparently
previously-unknown giant self-destructing palm trees in Madagascar.
(Yes, I know - I wouldn't have believed it if somebody else had typed
that!)

I first heard about this on the WS during a waking moment in the middle
of the night. I wasn't concentrating but I thought the newsreader said
that they could only be seen from space. It was one of those things that
I hear or half hear on the radio in the middle of the night and then lie
there wondering how this can be so.

Did you also note the remark that selling seed from these trees may
provide valuable income for the local inhabitants.

Is the reporter particularly innocent, or am I too cynical?

Heard both these comments on Toady. I am a daytime WS listener when I prise myself from R3 that is. Outlook from choice and *anything* on China which goes without saying.

Sincerely Chris
