That's how it works, I know, but the point is that up to now the icon
was the A&L logo (a sort of orange cross with a blue centre) or just the
generic "white page" icon. I can't see what a capital E would have to
do with Alliance & Leicester.

Just to see what would happen, I deleted the old Favourites shortcut and
re-created it. I'm now back to the A&L logo icon.

In that case it probably got confused and picked up somebody else's
logo temporarily, not sure where from (but probably not your
daughter's system tray...)

Has she had any luck identifying her oddity?
