I realise it wouldn't be a standard shape but for one trivial use in my house it might be aesthetically more pleasing than the flex emerging from the bottom and then looping round and heading up the wall. Do such things exist or are they only for the nightmares of denned dragons?

Of course the alternative would be for me to reverse the socket and change the polarity of the switch. Hmm, maybe that'd be cheaper.
