Yes, it gave us a smil, bu it's a bit contrived - I mean, why on earth would
he bring back anything amazing from a business trip to Dublin?

Also, I noticed a re-hash of the Ruth/David anniversary plot - children
being very concerned that their parents ought to be celebrating their
anniversary with great enthusiasm, otherwise (the kids assume) the marriage
is in trouble. I can't remember either myself, my parents or my children
treating anniversaries as an occasion when you demonstrated to everyone that
your marriage was really just fine, honestly - in fact, we make very little
of anniversaries, except the Big Ones, because we don't really feel we have
to prove anything.
