I have one of these MP3 players (1) and have tried to load
some of my CDs onto it. I can get one set of tracks on all right, but
if I try to add to that another set the two sets seem to be stored in
parallel rather than in sequence.

For example, if I load the first disc of a two disc set, the
tracks appear, and play in the correct order, but if I add the second
disc, the tracks then play as if interleaved (in a non-systematic
way): CD2 track1, CD1 track 1, CD1 track 2 CD2 track 2 and so on. This
may be all very acceptable if the CDs are a compilation, but when they
are an opera it is bl**dy annoying.

There must be some way of persuading the MP3 device to store
trcaks in the order that I want rather than it does. Can anyone
suggest what i can do?

1. Needless to say not an iPod, but one of the cheaper copies.

I think you may need to rename them, or renumber them. It depends on what method you're using to put them on the MP3 player, too, there should be FAQ somewhere associated with Real Player or whatever which would help you. Perhaps you should give each CD a separate title on the MP3 player, even if it's CD1, CD2 etc?
