Yes, Lynda would be capable of it but it doesn't sound like her sense of humour to me.
but Kenton's level of humour would be Monty Python's Hungarian phrase book sketch (but could he do it in Italian or Swedish)

It wouldn't surprise me if Kenton had a good smattering of several languages, at least enough to order a beer and curse in. After all, he spent several years in the Merchant Navy and probably picked up a certain amount then.
