ISPs - a cautionary tale, posted because Pipex deserve it

I signed up ages ago for the Sky broadband but there seemed no way to
actually get it so I stayed with Pipex. Yesterday, 5 days after
settling with Pipex, I got an email from Sky with a code to log on and
get the service. Too late, Sky!
Pipex promised me the earth, also although only 1 thingy speed,
because my line will only do 2 anyway, the download limit is 15
thingies. (ok I can never sort the mbs from the gbs and the kbs)This
for 14.99 instead of the 23.99 I have paid for the last 6 years or so,
and 1 free month.
Trouble is I got my credit card bill today and in August they debited
me twice with the 23.99, the nuggers! I have emailed them.... I got
emails at one point saying we welcome you to Pipex, after I'd
cancelled and said ok I'll keep it, when I got the please stay emails.
At that point they must have charged me again. I did say you better
not have.
