I have started using Firefox and in general like it, but still need IE to

However, I don't want to get rid of OE for the time being. If nobody can
suggest what (if anything) I should actually do about Dr Watson I guess I
shall do nothing and hope he doesn't cause any problems. I'm still as
confused as I was to begin with!
dr watson is supposedly there to help you debug the earlier crash. to
first order, you (as a non-programmer) should ignore him (or suppress
him as someone else suggests).
oe is an m$ application: therefore a single crash in it is
insignificant. does the crash persist? -- if so, and if you're using
xp and it suggests that it should send info to m$, do so[*]. most of
their crash analysis is done on-line by a machine, so you stand a
chance that sending it will actually help.
if the crash does persist, and there's no support forthcoming, i
support the suggestion that you go to an alternative mailer/
newsreader. it's not difficult to be better than outlook depress, but
some of those available are streets ahead.
[*] i've taken to doing so: the most recent one i sent them (on one of
our w2003 servers) i was told "this problem is resolved in vista.
windows vista will be available in the future." which seems to me
pretty feeble.
