The GP said there was some hearing loss and sent me to the hospital,
where they said not enough to have a hearing aid, and many people have
some loss at my age. I hear ok most of the time so it is definitely
the programmes. I can't be the only person who is not hearing as well
as a 20 year old and who watches tv!
Even without the blockage of wax I have at the moment I have been aware of
a loss of "focus" in my hearing in recent years - I suppose it's an "age
thing" :(
Yes I find I can't tell which of the flats in my building the noise is
coming from when I want to complain :).
They put headphones on you to test your hearing in hospital and then
do pings. You have to press a button every time you hear a ping. They
get softer and louder and softer.
