Babies don't need to "get away" for holidays or a change of scene.

Judging by the numbers one hears screaming blue murder in departure
lounges and on board holiday charter flights, it is arguable that babies
and toddlers actually dislike 'getting away' from their usual routine and
surroundings. I am often tempted to feel sorry for the parents until I
remember that the problem is self-inflicted.

I did mean to add that I do feel sorry for the babies and toddlers in such a
situation, which is clearly not self-inflicted.
