I was going to re-phrase this to read:-
"a public discussion between friends, which everyone should feel free
to listen to, or join"
which seems much closer to the reality, however, I found the phrase:-
"Not only listening, but joining in we hope, with those fishpuns you
know so well." Floating through my mind.
It reminded me so much of that Sunday evening, 'I've got to go to school
tomorrow & I ain't done me homework' feeling - that I feel quite glum
now.
