Soap & Flannel - week of 30 October 2005 - spoilers

Despite the motives of recent visitors to Ambridge, we're optimistic Kate
Madikane has no hidden agenda. We should also like it noted that a
pessimist is never disappointed.

Certainly, Hayley views Kate with gimlet-eyed suspicion as she elbows her
way into Roy and Phoebe's lives. Roy can't see the problem, but then a
degree in counting paperclips does not a genius make.

Up at Home Farm, Jennifer's delight at Kate's visit is tarnished when it
becomes apparent things are not so shiny with Lucas in South Africa. Given
Kate's past form, what's the betting all her belongings are on a slow boat
from Johannesburg?

Usha and Alan have guests, too - her Aunty Satya and his mother-inlaw Mabel
- but the two hate each other on sight and are united only in their
determination that Usha and Alan shouldn't get together.
