I've now made contact with Stownley. He's doing our local panto season again. Cinders this year 

Is _everyone_ doing Cinderella this year? D#2 is on the crew* for the 6
week run at the Hazlitt in Maidstone (where I have heard of none of the
cast) while the Marlowe is also doing it (with an Aussie soap star as
Buttons) as is the Churchill in Bromley.

*Hurrah! More paid theatre work, she's on the last night of a week's run as
I type and seems to have survived quite well :)



There was a year (a couple of decades ago, I think) when Cadbury's
offered generous sponsorship to all panto companies who put on
Cinderella.  (Cinderella -> Buttons -> chocolate buttons, you get the
picture).  Lots of Cinderellas that year, which was tough on the
dwarfs who rely on a steady stream of Snow Whites to keep themselves
in work over the Christmas period.


That's terrible - I guess it means that this year dwarves will be short
of work as well.
